Hi, I’m Cheryl Guthrie, Founder of Train For Life. I am a certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach with over 35 years of experience in exercise and nutrition.    I help women over 40 move and fuel their bodies with purpose—so they can live with strength, energy, and abundance.  

My passion began early. I grew up in a loving home, but watched my mom caught in the exhausting cycle of chronic dieting—starting a new plan every Monday, swinging between restriction and overindulgence, and letting the scale define her worth. 

As a young woman I drew a line in the sand: I will not diet. I will not let a number determine my value. What I didn’t see growing up—exercise, or simple, balanced meals—became the very foundation of my life’s work.  

Since then, I’ve earned numerous certifications including: • ACE Certified Personal Trainer • PFC3 Certified Coach • Precision Nutrition Certified Coach • ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor • Pilates, TRX, Step, and BodyPump Certified  

My approach is holistic, sustainable, and grounded in blood sugar stabilization and behavior-based coaching. 

Whether you’re rebuilding your relationship with food, rediscovering your strength, or simply learning how to care for yourself in a new season—I’m here for it.  

Outside of coaching, I’ve been married for 34 years, am a mom of three grown kids and grandma to three precious grandkids. 

My husband and I live on a small farm with horses and dogs—our daily dose of joy and hard work!

Andrea Guthrie

I have been dancing ever since I could stand! My passion for movement and cultural upbringing led me in to the dance world at a young age. After joining my mom in many Zumba classes, I knew I wanted to spread the joy of fitness through dance. In college, I received my Zumba Certification, and in 2023, a faith based fitness certification as a Revelation Wellness instructor. 

Michelle Tornetta

I am a certified yoga instructor with a love for teaching to every ability. My warm style is inviting and accommodating, whether this is your first yoga class or you have been practicing yoga for years. 
My certifications and specialties include: restorative yoga, adaptive yoga, and aqua yoga. My favorite style is vinyasa flow. I regularly facilitate retreats and I love to gather women and encourage. 
My other passions are paddle boarding, gardening, cooking, water aerobics, and writing.

Aria engstrom

Aria is a multifaceted instructor with 25+ years of teaching experience in a variety of fitness formats. This includes weight training, water aerobics and mat Pilates but has a passion for yoga. Leading a slow flow style with lots of modifications for beginners or participants with injuries.

Paula Shepherd

Paula is a Certified Personal Trainer and licensed massage therapist who is passionate about helping people build strong, healthy bodies that support an active, pain-free life. A lifelong lover of movement—from weightlifting and running to hiking and kayaking—Paula understands firsthand how challenging it can be to stay consistent with fitness while juggling a busy life.

With a background in massage therapy and years of experience working with the human body, Paula takes a whole-body approach to training, focusing on strength, mobility, recovery, and overall well-being. Through personal training, nutrition guidance, and therapeutic touch, she helps clients improve movement, reduce pain, recover from injuries, and feel confident in their bodies again.
